Maps

  • Google Maps Seems obvious, but it's a very capable mapping system.
  • Trailforks A great community driven repository of trails for hiking, biking, offroading, and more.
  • OSM Inspector Enable water and disable everything but rivers and water areas. I use this to find hidden ponds and lakes.
  • CalTopo I use it for the public lands overlay to see if things are accessible or not. I don't think it has private land info unfortunately. It's pretty powerful though. I've barely scratched the surface on what it can do.
  • BRouter A tool to create GPX routes following road networks and trails.
